Waiting and watching
Thoughts and emotions.
The day is turning
Into an indigo night
Expansive with infinite stars.
Igniting the abysmal sky
With desire and dreams,
To be hand picked
And bitten into like a ripe
Succulent summer fruit.
Juices dripping down bony elbows
And a most satiated flushed face!
I love this painting π Is it ink on smooth paper or watercolor on smooth paper? i’m trying to figure out your technique as i remember once painting kites from our hostel window and getting a sky to lay down on paper like your fabulous blue patch. I love this luscious fruit with all my heart and now you have it down on paper π
It is watercolor on paper π it has been such a playful way to paint out what I imagine in my poetry. Its a true release of my ‘artist’ self!
but the paper… what kind is it? i love the washes laid down on the mango and the blue patch.
It is 200g/m2, 94lbs, acid free paper, FABRIANO, made in Italy, (Matite colorate, tempara, colored pencil, gouache)I hope this is helpful. I think I bought the paper in an art store in Pondy. It is not a paper specifically for watercolors but it’s smooth texture has been a lot of fun to create upon! Also the Windsor and Newton colors have such a rich palette π
