If only I could live in zero gravity
I wouldn’t be so burdened
By all that I have to carry.
Simply floating along on my back
Beside everything I’ve ever owned,
I’d hum a tune and gaze at the stars.
Then I wondered why, even here,
Nothing I own ever falls away from me.
Then it struck me, like a falling star.
My own gravity holds them close
Even in zero gravity.
