We work so constantly at the upkeep of things, doing what we can, to roll back the ravages of time and the elements. Ever so often, we are discouraged that our work in the world shows little sign of progress, or that whatever we do, comes undone.

Could we hold the knots within, when our world is falling apart, as indeed it is, even at this moment? It’s something that hits us, only when a big enough chunk falls away.
